can you post another topic such that i don't have to pretend to know anything about lady stuff in order to talk to you?

i'm having birth control issues. anyone who does not want to hear about this, feel free to go away. i will post the rest in a separate entry.

there: now i won't get any nasty comments from certain people who are easily grossed out.

@le sacre: i'll see what i can do.

i'm here to help!

me too

@pepper: yay!

ok so I just started on bc again like a month and a half ago. every time i've been on it, i've had breakthrough bleeding -- doesn't seem to matter what brand it is or what levels of hormones are in it. i can tolerate this because the current pill, tri-sprintec, is good for my skin and has helped me gain some weight.

however, in the past couple days i have had a LOT of bleeding, and also what seem to me like PMS-type mood swings. wtf? i'm only in the middle of the pack so it is definitely not time for my period.

This happens to me too.

a lot meaning equivalent to the normal period?

or a lot meaning WOAH scary?

because if i were in this situation, i would probably just go see the doctor to be sure. no one likes random bleeding.

meaning equivalent to, like, the first couple of days of a normal period. i guess.

oh, but it gets better: last night while i was shaving my underarms in the shower, i felt the razor kind of trying to climb a mountain or something. looked over and holy christ, there's this gigantic lump in my armpit. my first thought was, it's breast cancer (because it's fairly close to my right boob). but it's probably just a lymph node, or some other weird side effect of the pill.

She's growing an extra boob in her armpit!

it could be a lymph node, or it could be a terribly ingrown hair.

i would see your doctor, just to be on the safe side.

a terribly ingrown hair?! oh my god, gross.

If it were any kind of cyst, she'd be in excruciating pain, given its size. That's why I think it's a lymph node. If it's still there on Monday, I'm dragging her to the doctor.

@centro: no you aren't. i will superglue my feet to the floor.

Then I will bring a piece of the floor to the doctor as well.

Update: she's sick. Mystery solved.

i hope not terribly... feel better!

@pepperoni: She says thanks. She's doing okay, thanks to tylenol and lots of sleep.

i'm feeling much better today.

What should go here?
