whenever i hear a question about comic books, i say 'the tick.' use this around comic book nerds to draw attention away from the fact that you are, in fact, not a comic book nerd at all.

reasons the tick is awesome: because they gave me and my ex something to bond over, when we had nothing else in common.

also: because i was totally The Tick, and my ex was totally Arthur.
