I get the feeling we may be hosting New Year's at our house, so I'm trying to get some good ideas for stuff to do/serve. It's a little odd for the season, but I'm really digging a tropical cookout sort of theme.
I will be in a house near Lake Tahoe with a handful of my best friends.
Even though it will be pretty low-key, it will be a million times more spectacular than the craptacular NYE of my recent past, which usually involved me sitting on my front porch, smoking a cigarette, wishing I was doing something with someone somewhere, anywhere else.
Getting stoned. Hopefully laid. Hopefully by my DP.
if not then all bets are off. Not a good way to start the new year. Id love to have a party too but all my friends have found other residences to attend.

I'm liking the luau/cookout theme, too! It'll probably be cold at night, but we do have a hot tub and I'm sure I could find tiki torches somewhere. Plus, we have a fantastic grill.
Prolly going to Annie's Social Club to drink heavily and do Karaoke. It's Annie's last night open (for at least a couple of years, anyway) so they'll probably be trying to burn through their booze.
I have no idea. I haven't been invited to the party of people I've known since high school, and I have been invited to a party of people who seem to have a lot less drama in their lives. I guess the choice seems obvious, but for some reason I feel more comfortable around the people I've known since high school.
