I did laundry tonight and I washed the marital picnic blanket, but I made sure to rub it all over my body, run in a circle 3 times and light the proper candle before doing so.

@erica Well, it was in Dolores Park. I had been there for several hours with Mace and Nomi and Rick and a few others, and Gabe came over later. Everyone started to leave just before sunset, leaving just the two of us on the blanket under a tree. I was telling him what a perfect day it was when he pulled out a small box with his Grandmother's wedding band in it, and that's when I started crying with joy (also, I said yes).
I didn't see the lesbians, but Mace said when she came back and found us all emotional and happy, the couple sitting near us were aglow with happiness for us and everyone nearby was too. I don't know if I noticed other people for hours afterward. I was kinda out of my mind.

That's adorable.

The best part is that we had randomly run into Ben and his wife that morning at brunch. Perhaps it was an omen.
