There are a lot of people on there looking for friends with at least the remote theoretical possibility of something sexual going on, but the people looking for 100% platonic friendships are fleetingly rare.

I've met some cool people on OkCupid. I'm still in contact with a few of them, but they're all interested in things I don't want to give them.

Kind of both. If it works for you, great! And yet I still think that going on a dating site to only make friends is just silly. I'd rather use other web sites to make new friends, but that's just me.

That's pretty much all I use it for. I find it that it's hard to meet people who aren't just looking for sex.

I've met one person who I would like to spend more time with, but she's a very busy jazz singer. I think we like each other pretty equally, and she's easy to get along with.

The only other person I've met, I have a weird crush on, and wish she liked me more. We only met twice, and I don't think she wants to meet me again, unfortunately.
