The Fire Department Just Left!
Apparently the people that live up stairs saw "black smoke" coming from our dryer duct and that smoke set off their fire alarms. Next thing my mom and I know, there are 3 fire trucks in the parking lot and 5 firemen in our living room! After pulling our dryer away from the wall, the firemen found no sign of smoke or anything burning. It was probably that chicks dryer up stairs! Our dryer duct is under her window but her window was closed, so how could the "black smoke" from our vent make the fire alarms in her house go off??

this is like one of those "locked room" mysteries. glad your apartment didn't burn though.
yeah I'm glad it turned out to be ok. but i wanna know why those alarms went off...the lady up stairs WAS running her dryer at the same time as us...but me thinks she hasn't been cleaning her lint trap out enough!
Hopefully one of the firemen was cute!
