So! I have a new iphone and I'm a huge fan of to-do lists and blahblahblah new year and all that. But I am overwhelmed with the number of apps out there and yeah.
Right now I have a pirated copy of Things on my laptop - I love it, mostly because I'm used to it. I once tried to switch to another place (http://teuxdeux.com/) but the things I liked about it (being able to see the whole week at a time, for example) didn't outweigh some of the features I like in Things.
Things does have an app, but it's $10. Which I am willing to pay! But I wouldn't mind hearing other ideas first.
I use Remember the Milk, simply because there's an app, and a website I can use. Plus they have location reminders, so when you're within, say, a mile of somewhere, it will notify you and say HEY DON'T FORGET. It's slightly annoying because sometimes, depending on what the cell towers are doing, it might think I'm close to the store, instead of my house, for example. That happens rarely, though.
You set up the locations in advance, and give them whatever name you want. Then, when you add an item, you can just say, "GIANT CASE OF RAMEN @ Wegmans". Not that I buy that or anything.

Reminders and iCal are the only things i use. You should see my calendar. it is insane.
Hmmm yeah I'm stubborn about google calendar since I've been using that forever as well.
There should be a thing to sync google calendars to iphones - try http://www.google.com/mobile/sync/ .
I also use catch notes for sharing text notes between my computer and phone. Useful for lists and things.
Oh, the calendar is synced - it's more like for my LISTS. I guess I could do tasks in calendars but hmmm.
I mean REALLY, I should probably just buy the app for the thing I like because clearly I don't like change.
Catch notes, I'll check that out, though...

But how does it know what store you want to go to? But yeah, both that one and catch notes look good - I just have to start trying to ORGANIZE MY LIFE
