helena bonham carter, in case you didn't guess. as the red queen. i'm sure i'll love the visuals and be so-so on the story. burton's track record has been poor lately.

I think the last Tim Burton movie I enjoyed fully was SLEEPY HOLLOW. Yeah, for real. I just enjoyed it, for all it's faults. Maybe just to spite all the people who told me it was bad, but it still counts.

Corpse Bride was awful. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was awfuler. I should probably see Sweeney Todd, but I didn't get around to it yet.

As a side note, IMDB reports a new Frankenweenie in 2011. WEIRD.

i agree with you re: corpse bride... just didn't click. and big fish was ok at best, as was charlie (for me). hated planet of the apes, but sweeney todd falls in the ok category. didn't love it, didn't hate it. i'm guessing this will be the same. sleepy hollow looked truly amazing but the characters just didn't have chemistry and the surprise ending wasn't a surprise.

best burton film still: pee-wee's big adventure.
