Celisse, how often do you drive in winds like that? I was moving at the time and both me and my bf were driving cars full of stuff in like 70 mph winds. We finally gave up around 1:30 am and waited for it to die down. They clocked the gusts at 123 mph.
Wow, NEVER? They shut the city down in that shit. I close my shutters and hang out inside until it's over. 70mph sustained winds is just below Cat 1 hurricane.
There's a cold front so the winds were kinda RIDICULOUS last night but not ~*~*TROPICAL STORM~*~*~* level.
The only time I've ever had to just give up and pull over on a highway was a few weeks ago during some EPIC MONSOON. It was a little windy but the rain was just pounding and no one could see anything so everyone on I95 just kinda pulled over and waited. It was weird.
