My dad's on Facebook too, but he has everything locked down and I only found out about it while searching for other family members. I think he just signed up so he can see what stupid shit his clients are doing. My brother friended him, but his profile is already sanitized for his political career, and he hasn't tried to friend the rest of us.

My mom just joined LinkedIn, and added me there, so I guess I have to be careful what I say on LinkedIn now. Oh, wait.

He works for a political action committee, and has worked on several campaigns. It would be problematic if, say, photos of him dressed as a nazi got out. I actually consult for them too, but I just do IT stuff with no public exposure, and I'm not an employee, so I don't have to be quite as careful. There are a few racy posts on my facebook account that I'd want to delete if I got more involved with the political side of their operations.

I have so many 'friends' from the UK due to a friend hooking me up for farmville- my Facebook is more like a daily newspaper, of a neighborhood I do not live in. I don't mind. Kinda don't think about it much.
