Why is it shitty, David? I prefer point and shoot over DSLR because if I had a DSLR I would never use it and I shoot tons of shows and stuff because I can shove my camera in my pocket. I was just looking at prices and shit for a 10.1MP Lumix -- they have Leica lenses.
i know, it's odd...on paper, it should be a good camera. the output is ass, though. somehow. i swear i took better pics with my old Sony 1.3 megapixel.
i was thinking about trying to sell it. i dunno. if only to replace it with something else. oh, and it's quite honestly too small for me. i feel like i cant even get a grip on the damn thing.
I have a D70 with a cracked body which has been sitting in a box for over a year. It, too, was knocked over at a concert. I've since replaced it, so I don't need it at all....
Would you want it? The last time I used it, it totally worked fine; I just couldn't use it to shoot in wet or cold weather because the body was cracked on one side.
You'd need to get a lens for it, but I have everything else.
If you're interested, I'll bring it with me on FRIDAY when I come!
I have a Vivitar I never use. 8.1 megapixels. I work near where you live. It's in perfect working order and you can borrow it for a while if you need to.
Say the word.
(Vivitar Vivicam 8300s. Small enough that I can put it on my iPhone and still see the edges of the iPhone.)
Please don't die.
Oh no :( Surely someone can, at the very least, lend you their camera for a while?
:c
want a shitty Lumix point and click?
I was just going to say what -j said. But you know, he was faster.
I so very highly doubt it. Would you lend out your digital camera? (Don't answer that, you're so damned nice of course you would.)
Oh no, it was such a nice camera too! Can you sue the drunk jerk who knocked it out of your hand?
Sorry to hear that m'dear. I'd help out if I could. Maybe one of the SF community herein can lend you a replacement?
p.s. I'll ask my boy if he has an extra lying around.

yeah, that's basically what i have
take a look at my "other site" to see results
I can loan you my Canon PowerShot SD1000. It's just a 7.1MP point-and-shoot. I don't mind.
Thanks, all. I am going to try a few things and see if I can get my parents to loan me some cash for a new one.

Thanks anyway, mama... I think it would be way too big for my needs, I need something I can stick in my pocket. That's super-sweet, though.

Somewhat tangential, but - storyboard gig! w00t! What's the project?
ugh that sucks! I need a new camera too. Mine is falling apart... literally.
BTW, I haven't seen you in FOREVER. Where you been hiding??
I broke down and bought a refurbished 10.1 MP Lumix for $125.00.
