gti is full of white people so i'm assuming no since they're on the other side of gentrification

I'm kind of urban.....

Okay, sub-urban.

Actually!

My whole building (of white people in the service industry) was forced to leave our fourplex this past month. The owners want to renovate the units and rent them out for a price fitting the location and new non-condemned nature of the place. We'd all lived there in comfortable squalor for some time; one guy had been there for ten years! But yeah, it fucking sucked.

I LOVE HOW EMM HAD TO REITERATE IT WAS WHITE PEOPLE GETTING KICKED OUT =D

Uhhh I live in an area that will very soon be gentrified. I kind of feel like our building is pretty high priced for the amount of times my car has been broken into. BUT I've yet to be priced out of my area.
So much of a help I know!

i need that "THAT'S RACIST" .gif

I lived in a building in Denver for a long time. My rent was $475.00. Which is a dream in Denver. Shortly after I moved out (I turned the lease over to my best friend), the owners went bankrupt and had to sell the building. The people who bought it told everyone "As soon as your lease is up, the rent will be raised to $850.00 a month. Needless to say everyone was forced to move out. I am not sure if what was done was legal or not.

I live in this old building of condos in Nashville for a while with some people, and we had a sweet HUGE place with three bedrooms, 2 baths and a giant kitchen and living room hallway- we paid 600 total. it had not been renovated since the 30's or 40's. the floors were like sine curves and all the light fixtures flickered. we loved it. then we were kicked out and the building was gutted and renovated and the condos are like 3k each now. when they were renovating I went in and took some of the old light fixtures.

that story really doesn't help here.

What should go here?
