i think the fact that i'm out-of-the-loop enough to have had no idea this has ever been discussed before means that i'm out-of-the-loop enough that my opinion is irrelevant.

i use team-only when i want the conversation not to be accessible to google-searchers/cyber-stalkers (so i don't care about overheards).  i get the impression that some use team-only in order to talk about GTIers who aren't on their team behind their backs, but i'm not in-the-loop enough to have ever done or wanted to do this.
