bloody jinx or what?

A cat living in a place full of slowly dying people learned the smell of organ failure. We actually have sensors that can pick this stuff up, but it's ridiculously expensive and not nearly as sensitive or accurate as the nose of a predator.

ive been trying to tell everyone that its the cat sucking the souls out of the bodies, like in the steven king story.

@Zephron Carnelium I'm not discounting that possibility, as we all know cats are slightly evil, even my own adorable calico. I just think the cat is an opportunist, rather than a killer.

so you say that cats are week, and couldnt kill a propper person, but would hang around and steal the soul as it left the body.
I can dig that.
