So, briefly: around this time last year, I met someone. At the end of April, we started going out. Six months after that, I proposed. We're getting married April 3, here in Montreal.
Just thought you guys should know...
I was also insanely busy with my theatre work - we just closed an original musical, for which I co-wrote the book and lyrics, and in which I also performed. My artistic director and I were just given a Montreal critics' award for our work on MainLine Theatre (kind of a lifetime achievement award, I guess... Which is weird, since I'm not even 40, and since we already have one of these awards for our work on the Montreal Fringe!).
So, busy but insanely happy. Sophie is incredibly lovely - she translates scientific documents into French for the Canadian government, and she is also a writer and actress (in French). We wrote a 24-hour play together last fall, and are starting to talk about writing a full-length play this fall - once we get settled a bit!
@ -j: Thanks! Now all we have to do is a) get this wedding over with (all my family is from outside Montreal and speaks only English, and all of hers is from here and speaks only French), and b) find a new apartment.
Wow, ghost from the past :) How've you been, my friend??
Damn. Well hello!

That all sounds lovely.
