As a JINO myself, I insist that for Jewish Heritage month (whenever that is) that the cafeteria give us equal time. (It doesn't matter what the food is, just have the servers say "Oh, if you don't like it, don't trouble yourself. Sure, I schlepped around this kitchen like a schmuck all day, but I'm just an old alteh moid, it's not like I have anything better to do with my time. Go on, go, I'll just sit here by myself in the dark.")
we saw it on the menu for this week on monday or tuesday. we were like....is it just a coincidence that this black history month icon is sorta beside of this menu item???? but then when we got there today, it straight up had on the sign that it was for black history month.
oh, and it had this stuff about how it was a special recipe by some dude. my friend (who actually is black and was kinda offended by the whole thing) asked them if maybe that chef was african american. but no, he's just some dude who comes up with recipes for them.
Then you should be proud that somebody born and raised on the other side of the planet has more cultural sensitivity to your history than pretty much everybody in your work cafeteria.
‽
That is...um.

I have no idea what a JINO is, but my first couple thoughts were NOT good.
@Muppy: Jew In Name Only. I don't even wanna know where you went with that, and I'm sure rink doesn't want it in her work cafeteria either.
