i think the Coen bros. might've based the look for the characher Anton Chiguhr, on Christian Vander, drummer and leader of the strange 70's prog-rock band MAGMA.
What should go here?

Babe, it's a Cormac McCarthy novel. The man hasn't left his house in like 20 year (except to appear on uh... Oprah).
I'm not sure he would really dig MAGMA that much.
I read prog as pog and now I really want to play.
*years
yes yes, i'm aware the film is an adaptation. i was simply pointing out the uncanny similarities. both in the physical, and uncomfortable strangeness.
could you imagine POG rock though? what would that sound like?
It would be slammin'.
I used to like to shake my pogs around in their plastic tubes.
What about Pong-rock?
@centropomus: boop....boop....BEEEP!
Well, I'm pretty sure poon-rock has been done.
@centro: examples please.
I was thinking Lords of Acid, but I guess that's more sextronica.
what about L7? are they poon rock?
7 year bitch? the donnas?
no, not the donnas. the donnas just suck.
I sincerely hope they based the look on that guy. That guy rules. That band rules. Bad Day at Prog Rock was my name on "I'm In Like With You dot com"
@kite: YOU rule for liking magma.
fricken' LOVE magma!
