I made two new friends tonight. It's rare that I meet people that I actually like a lot as I've gotten older. Probably when I was younger as well. It's a good feeling, meeting people that you are sympatico with.
Sort of...one of my friends has been a good outlet for making new friends lately.
I met a guy at a bar last week who was nice. I don't want to date him, but I have his number. I don't know how to call him without it being weird, though.
I've made a bike friend, but that required a silly Craigslist strictly platonic ad.
In normal, non-internet settings, I don't know how to manage a smooth transition from the "Hey, you're awesome," to the "Hey, let's hang out" stages. I need to meet more aggressive people who like bike riding, left-leaning girls with a somewhat pretentious taste in music.
Xenu: I'm bad at it too, but I've met very few people in the past 10 years or so that I really feel like I connect with on a friend basis... 4, maybe, that's it worth the effort.

Hell no.
Do I seem friendly to you? Or even friendsome?
I'm really bad at that. First, I'm like, "You're nice! Let's hang out!"
Then, I'm like, "Oh. You mean, I have to CALL you?"
What time frame is covered in "recently"?
i almost made a friend today!
he thought i was in a punk band, but i am not. then he went to the bathroom and i went to work. OH WELL.
No, I'm fairly bad at it. I did, however, made a party full of acquaintances last night.
I pretty much feel that I am friends with most people I meet.
@AArtaud - that's really awesome! What are they like, what are they into?
I'm struggling to keep up with the friends I've got right now. I am quite jealous although very happy for you.
Might have had a chance tonight, but I blew it.
I love how Brian Williams (a.k.a.) Lustmord says on his MySpace page that he's interested in making friends.
Seriously, though, I don't think that I know how to make friends.
I had a couple of them back home, but then I moved to US and kinda lost that ability or maybe it wasn't there to begin with.
I guess that the whole process of friend-making is tied to the idea that you have to be around some people night and day.
does varg have a myspace? he's been out for a few days now.
I don't think that he does.
I'm pretty sure that some of his followers/fans have MySpace pages dedicated to him, though.
can't say that i blame him. i regret i have no pics of my "let's play nin and tool covers in corpsepaint" days.
back to thread: this was a time i gained and lost a lot of friends.

erica: Call him up! Say, let's hang out, but I'm not putting out, you dig?
T.S. Eliot: Is friendsome even a word?
Xenu: I'm bad at it too, but I've met very few people in the past 10 years or so that I really feel like I connect with on a friend basis... 4, maybe, that's it worth the effort.
val pal: Whenever. No time frame necessary.
emm: That's exciting. You say "HELLO" next time you see this person.
Chrome:
ipe: Y'all gotta work at it. Friends are good.
ashok: I met them at a conference. They're quite nice; we're professionally similar. All in all it was a nice 4-5 hours hanging out.
Stereotest: Yeah, it's an ability that has to be developed. And facetime is important.
K is for Kooky: You should seek these women out. There has to be a club somewhere in your area!
totally!
Hahah I responded to this so long ago I totally forgot about that bar dude.
