i don't know why it is important for me to know that. but i feel good finally knowing.
also the fact that i am generally anemic contributed to the ability of the bacteria to multiply, because it responds to low iron content in blood.

Oh crap. I learned about that in my pathogens class. Good thing it didn't turn into Meningitis! Hope your hand surgery goes well, and that you recover in record time.
Now I'm totally curious what antibiotics they used to treat it.
I was on a bunch. levofloxacin and cephalexin and augmentin and two more that I can't remember.
