Also...I'm really happy to report that this didn't cost me much to have done, because I work there. My boss did the surgery, and gave me a $1,250 discount. Seriously.
you need to secure it around the neck, and then have the strap go between their ears and around the side of their head. fun foam covered in tape makes a good material for it.
i'm sorry your cat is not well. my vets cat has no eyes, and aside from it being kinda terrifying when she jumps on your lap and stares at you, purring loudly, with empty sockets, she seems to get around uncannily well.
She slept on top of me with that obnoxious e-collar poking me in the face most of the night. I'm letting her have a supervised break from wearing it this morning...she seems much happier. Still gave her a pain med injection today, just in case.
I has a no-eye and a no-tail cat. For a brief time the no-tail had an eye sewn shut cause of an infection or something. It was fun having a pair of one-eyed cats.
Awww. And I am sure you will love it just as much.
Yep...
Man, she is PISSED. Also, high on morphine.
AW, BABY.
ooooo poor baby.
(how old is she?)
Oh man! Poor one-eyed kitten face!!
That lack of depth perception is going to be a real bitch...
She's somewhere between 10 and 12. She has (had) glaucoma in that eye and it was untreatable and I'm sure very uncomfortable.
sounds like she's better off now.
plus, she looks like a total badass. ain't no bitches gonna mess with her!
time for a cat eyepatch.
OMG, WHO CAN MAKE ME A KITTY EYEPATCH? Or maybe I could try and make one...out of felt and elastic?

Aw, poor kitty! (I almost said this out loud when I was on the phone..) But I hope she gets better.
oh man sadface kitty!
Poor little Peacat! My friend's cat lost an eye, and she was upset at first, but then she was back to her normal kitty self.
That looks...kinda eerie.
But its a good kitty, nonetheless.
LOLCAT caption, anyone?

Aww. Poor lovely. Ansonia over at theNTSH has TWO one eyed cats. I think it's fantastic.
I'm shocked that it would have cost $1,000 I once had a large dog LEG removed an it was only $400. Eye removal can;t possibly be more complicated.
