My questions may all be stupid, but I have no idea. It was a 97 Ford Escort with 151K miles on it. I know it's just headed straight to the junk yard, but how much will a junk yard give me for it? It also has fairly new tires, is there some place that will buy my used tired for more than a junk yard would? Should I just try selling it on craigslist? What should I doooooooooo?
I don't know if this is an option for you or not, but the last time I had a dead car I just sold it to my mechanic. She dropped a new clutch in it, fixed a few other things, and used it as a loaner. Again, that may not be possible for you, but it might be worth asking especially if you have a good relationship with your mechanic!
