@sally I will pass that on to my parents, I'm sure they'll be thrilled.

Actually, I have no idea why this room is decorated so. It runs totally counter to my parents' usual aesthetics, and it looks completely out of place with the rest of the house. They just kind of left it the way the previous owners had it. I guess redoing a spare bedroom isn't really a high priority.
