If you've got photos of the two of you NOT kissing, and you leave those tagged, the impact should be minimal. I'd probably be a little hurt if I noticed someone did that to me, but I probably wouldn't notice, and I'd get over it, as long as they left the rest tagged.
Depends on the current situation with the ex. Like, i left a bunch of pictures of Shane and me kissing tagged, because even though we're friends now, i kind of like those little digs. Because, okay, i'm mean and vindictive.
Darn it, this is what I get for starting a convo and then leaving for work and not making it back to the internets for 24 hours.
Perhaps some background is warranted to shape the convo. These are not uber gross make-out photos...more like hey, kiss me on the cheek while I mug for the camera, and another one someone caught of me and the girlfriend pecking after winning a round of Flipcup.
@bizzy All relationships in question ended in a friendly manner.
It all depends on the ex, your current lover, and yourself. If I was the ex, and the relationship ended well, and *I* didn't untag myself, I probably enjoy having the photos there and think of them as a fond remembrance. (This is hypothetical because I find I haven't actually ever taken kissy photos or had any posted on FB so far.)
If I was the current love interest, well... no, I don't really enjoy seeing tagged photos of the person I'm with being all kissy-affectionate with someone else, especially if it's a recent relationship--but I don't think I have the authority to ask that they untag them.
As for myself, in the immediate aftermath I'd probably untag all such photos, yes, although I'd leave the one of us just hanging out tagged. But I might let one I particularly like be up and tagged, because I also don't believe in pretending exes never happened. Dunno though, as again: have never had kissy photos up.
Discuss!
It depends on the breakup. If it was bad, I'd probably untag everything. If it was friendly, I'd probably leave them up.
If I started dating someone new, I'd still probably leave them tagged.

it depends entirely on how hot they were.
I'm still wondering why you'd have kissy face tagged pictures on facebook in the first place, but hey, that's just me.
Isn't it the responsibility of whoever's facebook the pictures are on to untag them? Dang, I just don't understand facebook etiquette.

If you want to be nice, untag yourself.
@emm How is that a dig?
I'm gonna go with Erica on this one, I don't need to see anyone kissing anyone else on facebook.
ding ding ding.
no one wants to see your gross kissy pictures. don't put them on facebook.
I mean that in the general YOU not YOU jas. haha.
I'm fine with kissing pictures as long as both chicks are hot.
Hello Centro overheard.

@Skanko no problemo, yo.
I think that once the relashon is over, those need to go away, if they exist at all. PDA on facebook is kind of gross in any case.
