Go get 'em! What's the job? Try not to throw up on the interviewers (unless that's part of the job, in which case I'd say you can do better anyway).

Let us know how it goes, please :)

Not throwing up on the interviewers is just all around good advice.

It's just bagger at a local natural grocery store chain (like a fake Whole Foods) but it pays so much more than my last "respectable" job. And I get 10% off of groceries!

It came just in time too -- I was about to start offering services on fiverr!

I wrote in my cover letter that I was experienced at handling food. I think if I threw up on them I'd quickly prove myself to be a liar.

Very good point. You can show them your proficiency at the whole "cleanup on aisle 5" thing, though! (Actually, maybe best to skip it altogether.)

More good-luck thoughts sent!

Yes! Sending positive job-getting vibes! :)

I was asked what I expect to get out of this job. How do you even answer a question like that for a position like that?

Auygh. I do not interview well.

That's a pretty ridiculous question; I imagine it's standardized for most/all positions at the chain.

In cases like that, just remember that it's a BS prompt for a BS response. Tell them you believe in the company's goals and want to be part of the team or some such.

And then vomit on them.

Then be prepared to apply for a different job.

There is a David Sedaris reference I need to paste here when I get home

I think I forgot how to lie for the duration of this interview. I want to get a sense of purpose and usefulness to that question, then when I was asked what made their store unique I think I may have actually said "nothing really" but that it was like a less pretentious version of the co-op.

I'm going to have to find a new grocery store!

What should go here?
