I have a long history of being tortured by women who study French.
i took 7.5 years of french. I only remember any of it when I'm trying to speak German. go figure. I prefer torturing others.

@Chrome- this is my fifth year, and I've lived there, and I still can't speak a word of it for the life of me.
I love self-torture! Perhaps to do with the fact that I'm half-French?
@morgen: the longer you study it, the weirder it gets. They change something officially every couple years. Get out now, whilst you still can! Alternatively, enjoy some really good literature.

Instead I'm learning how to speak Japanese, because apparently I'm better at being a geek than being sexy.
