In the dog's defense, it's adorable. And far, far more giving and friendly than the colleague.

I doubt it's bad, and I'm sure it's not rare.

I don't know that she's a bad person. But she's not one to share materials or information. And, in my profession, that's not a useful quality to have.

i think this is not bad so much as inevitable.  dogs will win every popularity contest against humans.  at least they don't let it go to their heads!  i've never met a dog that took itself too seriously.

you should parlay this situation into dog-sitting opportunities.
