why is it a thoughtcrime?

Because we're living out of boxes that with contents that only have value if you think they do.

well, that's a lot of things.
like, everything that goes in boxes except for canned goods.
don't let it get you down! start a minimalist movement!
the two things I can't let go of are books and music. I have boxes and boxes of books.
they are my buddies.
which is silly.

oh well.

Congrats on the new digs and good luck on the imminent sorting of belongings that is to come! :) You're amazing.

Congratulations!

Property ownership, that's a hell of a big deal. Moreso now, since so many cant.

hooray!

@Superion I'm trowing so much of my paper stuff out this move. I have a lot of nonsensical knickknacks What the hell am I supposed to do with this stuff that I love that has no place outside of a box?!

yay! congratulations!

I miss PDX. I haven't been there since the last time.

@little_p: well, right. But it's a mess and I'm conformist enough to want a reasonably clean place for people to stay when they visit.

@SWD, sonicexam, thankyew.

@Bustie: truth be told, if it wasn't for this downturn and a 20 year savings plan on my part, we wouldn't be able to afford this place. I do not wish poverty on anyone but this particular economic situation is one we've been able to take advantage of.

@Bmanda; I have unencumbered myself of a great many things and it is good. I've also decided that it's time to move into more appropriate storage containers so over the years things should be catalogued more pleasantly.

@makey: thanks. As always, you're welcome to stay with us, if you can stand the cats.

yea, major props on property owning
