iv'e noticed that the white gaps between the tan-ish posts creates an optical illusion of a tan bar extending to the right side of the screen when i'm tired.
There was another example of a changed color scheme, but I forget where I saw it.
I suppose as themes have become more prevalent this is less important.

GTI is one of many sites i navigate to using the browser i've set up to enforce my own color schemes (black background, white text).
Oh, it was the new color scheme for okCupid. Harsh blue.
I postulate that it's Depression 2.0 that is harshing up the colors.
