@val- cool! the stuff I ordered is a lot more flexible than I anticipated. I'm going to use it for two projects anyway, cause that stuff doesn't grow on trees.
(oh and I am tired. like holy shit I just spent 15 hours at school on little sleep and get to do it all again in 7 hours time tired).
Corset! Awesome! Let us know how it turns out, and I may order one from you (if you're open to my special ordering one).
You can rebuild her. Make her stronger...faster. You have the technology.

YOU CAN DO IT
(spoken in my best Bela Karyoli voice)
Well, then, DON'T WIMP OUT!
I'm not a historical costumer.
That is insane :'o
I wanna see the finished products, though!
I have a friend that makes corsets for a living. I'll get you her email so she can give you pointers.
@carlo- cool.
I'm actually just using it in a couture dress under bodice thingy. Pattern done, muslin being presented tomorrow.
The real corsetry will start in a month or so once I finish this dress, and I think I'll need to order some more heavy duty steel for that job.
I don't remember her website, but she did design and make this:

Yay! I made a repro 1860s corset a while back and the boning for that was crazy. I know why ladies fainted a lot.
