My friend's bridal shower is at the end of the month. We're all supposed to bring our favorite recipe, our favorite bottle of wine, and obviously a gift for her.
So I was thinking I'll get her a really cute apron from etsy (to go with the baking/cooking theme), but I want to get something cute and possibly quirky to go with it. And that's where I'm stuck. Oven mits? A cookie jar??
What other things is your friend into? What kinds of activities do her & her soon-to-be hubby enjoy most often?
If you want, you could always give her something anti-cooking for those times when the kitchen is the last place she wants to be...
Example gifts: Zagat book (http://www.zagat.com/) Take-out Menu organizer (http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/supplies/a4d0/) Silly placemats (http://www.wastesomecash.com/baplsof4.html)
Ooh, I like the idea of anti-cooking. And those placemats are funny, I bet I could find something like that at this really neat kitchen store near me.
She is really into theatre. She and her fiance are always coming up with crazy costumes and themes for parties. Their wedding is going to be 20's themed ("flappers and gangsters"). Umm...her fiance is a writer, and she sings and acts.
She loves coffee and tea, but I think her actual wedding gift will be a really snazzy tea kettle.
