Inner Sunset. You remember where the Academy of Sciences was? Just south of there.
So far, my only complaint is that the main transit line that I use to get to and from work (the N Judah light rail)... well, it must be constructed on an Indian burial ground because it is clearly cursed.
That, and it's GPS/arrival-time-predictor thing is probably attached to a rabid coyote in Golden Gate Park because it in no way reflects reality.
@MC American Bear: Yeah. With us it wasn't so much a date as two people throw together by unlikely circumstances and caught up in a whirlwind of car chases, shootouts, double-crosses, mistaken identities and awkward lapdances.
I have to say, you're making me feel like quite the slacker for not having our new house in tip-top shape. We're stuck on putting things on walls. We're both terrified to do it. I have Jenny C coming over to help, but who knows when, because as you may know, I'm a wee bit busy.
i like the red. red is good. well placed. i must pay a visit with wine, so this place never know thirst! and with bread, so this house never know hunger! and with salt so you may have good fortune follow you all of your days!
Mostly for -j., who refuses to be on facebook.
I'd post photos of the rest of the place, but he also can't get flickr from work.
Very nice.
Awesome, and thank you! (And congrats again!!!) I especially like the doors.
What part of town are you in now?

But the neighborhood is otherwise fantastic.
If I go one block from my corner, I can get gelato at 11:00pm on a Tuesday.
Awesome. Of course I would have moved there just to be closer to gelato.
Seriously though, excellent news, and well done. Did you do the stenciling you mentioned earlier?
The N and the J are canine-related, methinks. Though Trevor thinks the J is even worst than the N.
I can't wait to see it!
Also, I can attest that the gelato that is a block from his house is primo. Also the site of one of our first dates.
Um, a first date of me and my boyfriend, not me and Bustie.
Yes. It was narwhals and a compass rose on the base of the platform bed frame.
Teal on purple. We decided that the living room would be in primary colors and the bedroom in greens and purples.
Did your landlord let you paint, or is that some sort of amazing craft job?
@MC American Bear: Yeah. With us it wasn't so much a date as two people throw together by unlikely circumstances and caught up in a whirlwind of car chases, shootouts, double-crosses, mistaken identities and awkward lapdances.
@Mace: Those doors were painted (bookshelves are behind them). The landlord said no painting the walls.
Doors are not walls.
Also, we'll totally paint them back.
Nice logic there, my friend.

It seriously took us weeks, though. Like you see that coffee table?
That was $35 from Salvation Army, primed and repainted, THEN a bunch of vintage comics post-cards mod-podged onto it.
Like, basically this last weekend we finished unpacking and hanging things because we wanted to be DONE already. It was taxing.
HOLY SHIT I WANNA STEAL YOUR IDEA BUT DO IT WITH NES MANUALS
but then i jjst ebayed searched NES manuals and they're KIND OF EXPENSIVE
Well, the postcards weren't vintage - the comics on them were.
What you need are some 300DPI laser prints of manuals.
It would be awesome, though, Twigby.
Nice doors man!
I really need to get my stuff together & make my new place look this good. Like really. It's been 54 days already!
Hey now that you have more space I can finally give you your Buffy comics back. I even know where they are!
oooooooo, swanky! the painting you did=totally worth it, because that looks awesome.

this is so nice! the colours are great. GOOD JOB. i'm a bit of an interiors geek.
