the best part of my new year's eve was the part of it i spent alone, relaxing and getting ready while waiting for people to come over

I'm too lazy to tell you about all those things at the moment bu I just want to mention that the saddest part of my night was when I heard/saw Dick Clark on TV and realized how much his stroke affected his speech. Funny thing is he still has more energy and personality than twenty ryan seacrests put together.

I find the Jan. 1 New Year's a bit artificial; I prefer the Chinese New Year for anything meaningful, mainly because it has animals. In three weeks or so, it'll be the Year of the Ox. That I'm looking forward to immensely.
