it's such a crap political game that took me a while to get used to.

@artschooled - the name says it all! to make matters worse, some girl in our studio is a blatant plagiarizer and has gotten away with it for like 2 years. she literally traced the text from the "Why So Serious?" batman poster and turned it in. And she gets good grades! ughhhh

@om nom nom - we have teachers that grade solely on your ability to bullshit them and make them think you're friends with them

here, it's apparently as much about your ability to bs the other students bc that influences the faculty opinion and i wish i'd known this was the case because all my previous education was based on knowing the right answers in a more absolute world.

I hear you! I'm in graphic design, so technically there are some more rigid guidelines, but it really hasn't helped with the BS aspect at all

it's so subjective that it comes down to politics. if you want to do well, learn to play the game. what school are you in btw?

I go to the college of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP, as we affectionately call it) at University of Cincinnati. How about you?

@om nom nom - excellent! I'm really interested in RISD for grad...we had a few adjuncts that came out of there, really awesome program. Good luck with SAIC, that's a hell of a school. Are you also Graphic Design?

@ZackaryAttackery i'm interested in object/industrial design. the graphic design dept. at risd is quite good from what i can tell.

My last crit was wonderful. But only cause it's a really technical program, and I worked my ass off to get it technically correct.

My final crit is more of a justification to a jury. Which should be interesting. as I don't even find out what I have to make/justify until tuesday.
