what are you getting to break?

the way you worded this, makes it sound like you work at a place where things often need to be broken. hmmm.

well, today it's determining sheering force to break screws. not long ago, i was asked to permanently disable the lock in a particular door. past destructions have included testing rack mounting gear and cabling. also, many things have been broken over my head in the name of fun.

@johnny: you do technology work for about 14 years and then they just start giving you random shit to do when they realize you're unconventional in your problem solving methods.

i get put back on days AND i get to break shit. this might actually be a decent week.

that sounds better than sitting in a chair looking at a monitor!
