What books make even better audiobooks for listening to on a plane?

Anything but Alive.

I wish I had an actual answer to give...Little p is totally an audiobook afficionado/expert. Where's she gotten to?

I HAVE SUGGESTIONS!

all the Harry Potter books are fab on audio. I think there are two audiobook versions, and the one I listened to was read by Jim Dale. He got awards and stuff for it.

ANY AND ALL DAVID SEDARIS. are you familiar with his stuff? I first heard him reading some of his Santaland Diaries on the radio, and I got hooked on his humor and voice. I have all his stuff on audio and re-listen to various books on a regular basis.

I would specifically recomment

Me Talk Pretty One Day
or
Dress Your Family In Corduroy And Denim

you will not be disappointed

I just finished listening to Sinclair's The Jungle. It was a bit bleak, but well read. Now I'm listening to Bill Bryson's A Short History Of Nearly Everything. He's not reading this one, but the reader is excellent.

Bill Bryson books make great audiobooks as well.

OMG, of course David Sedaris. It makes sense, because I like his books, but I LOOOVE his bits on This American Life even more.

Did you know you can download a whole lot of audiobooks from the library now?

Having trouble falling asleep on the plane? Listing to this audiobook of Smauel L Jackson reading the children's classic "Go the fuck to sleep" http://www.avclub.com/articles/download-samuel-l-jacksons-audiobook-version-of-go,57503/

@Skewgee: This may be my favorite book written in the last decade and SLJ reading it is perfection!
